The apparent reason for the growing prices is the need for larger office
spaces and for increasing the number of employees, which in turn hasconsiderably increased the running
costs of the patent office.The fast-growing Israeli economy is seen as
another cause for the speedy increase.
It
remains to be seen whether this measure will attract investors to register
patents in Israel, or whether, on the contrary, investments and economic growth
will be thwarted.
