Last year saw a dramatic increase in the sales of counterfeit goods in Europe

According to the statistics pulled this summer, altogether approximately 80,000 IP fraud cases were registered in Europe in 2010. This is twice as many as in 2009.
More than 103 million items detained by customs were seized. Online sales of counterfeit goods have also increased significantly. Estimated damages amounted to nearly a billion euros.
